Take Luck w/ Brian Regan July 7, 2007

On June 16, 2005, a 14 year old boy, Zakk Hansen drowned in the Snake River in Idaho Falls. Bonneville County,Bingham County and Jefferson County searched the river for 7 days looking for him. Zakk was located on that seventh day. His Mom, Seanelle Hansen, got together with Brian Regan (Zakk's favorite comedian) and put together a benefit concert for all three counties. All of the proceeds were divided up between all three counties. We surely love and appreciate the Hansen family for all that they have done for us! Thank you and God bless!

Drowning in Firth - July 2007

In July of 2007, Bingham County Search and Rescue was called to the Firth River Bottoms for a young man that attempted to swim across the river and went under. It was unfortunate that that the young man did not make it. Search and Rescue spent two days diving for the young man and then everday after that for 6 days canvasing the river trying to locate his body. Eventually we were able to locate him and bring the family some closure. These are some different pictures of the event that happened over the course of this search.

This is Deputy Drew Lusk, he is on one of the 2 county jet skis that Search and Rescue is able to borrow

The divers donned on upward of 30lbs of extra weight to attempt to stay on the bottom of the river - During the first two days of this search, Divers logged over 45man hours.

Scuba Olympics

Every year Bingham County Search and Rescue competes in what we call the "Scuba Olympics". This was in 2007! There are several different events that we compete in, against several different counties from around this area. Each event is timed, and then points are awarded to the top three times. Can i say that we kicked everyones butt!!!
