In July of 2007, Bingham County Search and Rescue was called to the Firth River Bottoms for a young man that attempted to swim across the river and went under. It was unfortunate that that the young man did not make it. Search and Rescue spent two days diving for the young man and then everday after that for 6 days canvasing the river trying to locate his body. Eventually we were able to locate him and bring the family some closure. These are some different pictures of the event that happened over the course of this search.

This is Deputy Drew Lusk, he is on one of the 2 county jet skis that Search and Rescue is able to borrow

The divers donned on upward of 30lbs of extra weight to attempt to stay on the bottom of the river - During the first two days of this search, Divers logged over 45man hours.

This is the day the body was located
